End of the year is almost there and Christmas is just around the corner too.
I've learned that some people have a reverse advent calendar.
Les fêtes de fin d'année se rapprochent à grands pas et avec : Noël.
Usually with a traditional one, you count days until the 24 and sometimes you have a little chocolate or a gift to wait until Christmas. You "receive" something.
With a reverse advent calendar, you give instead of receive.
I think this idea is amazing.
During 24 days, you give to others.
It can be small acts : talk with an homeless person, help a collegue, make cookies for your family, send a message to a friend you haven't seen in a long time, create handmade christmas cards, give old books you don't read anymore, give to a charity...
There are so many things you can do! (And not necesseraly something you have to buy. Smiling to a stranger or helping your neighbor doesn't cost a thing).
It's the christmas spirit : sharing, caring, and giving.
I can't wait to start this calendar! If you need ideas, check "random acts of kindness", it can help.
Ps : I've always wanted to create a gingerbread house but... once it's done what do you do with it? Do you it it or is it just for decoration?
